Dilnoza Duturaeva is a lecturer in Medieval History at the University of York. Her research focuses on Asian interconnections and global trade in the pre-modern period. Her first book, Qarakhanid Roads to China (Brill, 2022), reconsiders the diplomacy and trade of transcontinental networks between Central Asia and China in the 10th-12th centuries. During her fellowship at the Nizami Ganjavi Centre, she is developing a new project on the history of human-animal interactions along the Silk Roads.
