Vali Kaleji, Ph. D. in Regional Studies, Central Asia and Caucasian Studies, Faculty of Law and Political Science, University of Tehran. His main research interests are History, Politics and Security in Russia, Central Asia, the South Caucasus and Caspian Sea, especially Iran' foreign policy in the region. As a senior expert in Eurasian studies, he has published numerous articles on Eurasian issues with the Oxford Analytica in the UK, National Interest, the Jamestown Foundation’s Eurasia Daily Monitor, the American Foreign Policy Council’s Central Asia-Caucasus Institute, the Middle East Institute in the United States and the Valdai Club in the Russian Federation. The Title of his research project in Oxford Nizami Ganjavi Centre is "Iran’s Relations with the Republics of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia in the First Period of Independence (1917-1921)" that will be implemented under the supervision of Prof. Edmound Herzig.
