Dr Gür will present the latest findings of her ongoing project on the Scottish Ottomanist E. J. W. Gibb and his private papers. She analyses Gibb’s library, private papers, marginalia and correspondence in order to understand his writing process and translation practices, with special focus on his monumental work A History of Ottoman Poetry.
